Education

Following her graduation as Valedictorian from Fairfield Union High School in 1998, Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2002. Jennifer then received her Master of Business Administration from Ellis M.B.A. College, With Honors, in 2006. In 2009, Jennifer completed her Juris Doctorate at the University of Akron C. Blake McDowell School of Law. In 2015, Jennifer received her accreditation for the presentation of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Experience

Jennifer joined the firm in July, 2010 and has worked primarily in the areas of Elder Law, Medicaid and Estate Planning. Jennifer assists individuals in establishing, funding, and administering trusts and how to utilize other non-probate transfer methods. Jennifer assists seniors in understanding the rules for Medicaid qualification, and how it affects their current assets. 

Before joining the firm, Jennifer practiced law for one year at Baum Law Office, in Vancouver, Washington, where she engaged in estate planning, wills and trusts, and family law. Prior to that, Jennifer worked as an accountant in Columbus, Ohio. 

  

Memberships

Jennifer is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. (NAELA) and is the 2015 Secretary of the Ohio Chapter of NAELA. She is a member of the Ohio State and Fairfield County Bar Association, including membership in the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. Jennifer is currently serving as a board member of the Fairfield County United Way, the Solicitor for the Village of Sugar Grove, Ohio, and she served as the President of the Southeast Ohio Sight Center in 2015.
